One of Apollo's many wins came in August 2003, at ARBA's New England Classic in Massachusetts.  During the Sunday afternoon show, Apollo was named  BEST IN SHOW just moments after his 4-month old daughter ~ our very own Stacia ~ was named  BEST IN SHOW PUPPY!!!

We are proud to share our lives with a beautiful Apollo daughter, Stacia.  It was our Stacia that produced the first-ever litter of Apollo grand-babies!

JoEllen Esposito's Saber (Stacia~D'Argo '04, an Apollo grandson) was BEST IN SHOW PUPPY at the 2005 Rarities Spring Fling Classic!  Saber is now a Breed, Rarities and Rarities International Champion!  Saber's litter-sister Mia is likewise accomplished!

Apollo is proudly and lovingly owned by Dotty and Tony Piscitelli of Riverhead, New York.  Apollo is a beautiful golden sable boy, with a soft and loving temperament (he gets along well with children and other animals); a magnificent head; good bone; impeccable structure; and beautiful movement.  Who could ask for more???
 

 SHOW CAREER 

During his brilliant show career, Apollo earned numerous Championships and Titles, including (by show organization):

Rarities:

  • Rarities Champion

  • Rarities Grand Champion

  • Rarities Supreme Grand Champion

  • Rarities Supreme Grand Champion of Supreme Grand Champions (x2)

In 2003, Apollo was the first-ever recipient of the Rarities title Supreme Grand Champion of Supreme Grand Champions.   That same year, he was also Rarities' #1 Shiloh, and #4 All-Breed dog.

In 2004,  Apollo was once again named Rarities' Supreme Grand Champion of Supreme Grand Champions!

ARBA:

  • ARBA Champion (at 13 months of age)

  • ARBA Master Champion

  • ARBA's #1 Shiloh and #6 All Breed Dog in 2003

  • 4-time ARBA "Best In Classic" Winner

Apollo was the ONLY Shiloh to ever place in both ARBA's and Rarities' TOP 10 IN THE SAME YEAR (2003)!!!

NKC:

  • NKC Champion (earned in one weekend of showing)

SHILOH SHEPHERD BREED ACHIEVEMENTS:

  • 2001:
    Started showing at 10 months of age; earned his Breed Championship and a "National Select" award that year
     

  • 2002:
    Won "Grand Victor" titles from the     Shiloh Shepherd Breed Association (SSBA) Registry and the United Shiloh Shepherd Dog Club
          

  • 2003:
    Won "Grand Victor" title from the TSSR

    Notes:
    1)  In 2003, Apollo defeated 493 dogs... a record not yet equaled by any other Shiloh.
    2)  At that time, the TSSR did not allow Shilohs to be listed with more than one Registry.
     

  • 2004:
         Won "Grand Victor" titles from the Shiloh Shepherd Breed Association (SSBA) Registry and the National Shiloh Breeder's Registry (NSBR)

Following the 2004 show year, Apollo retired.
 

 BREEDING CAREER 

To date, Apollo has sired five litters --- a total of 33 beautiful puppies!

...with Sunnie (Miracle Shilohs) : 12 puppies born on March 10, 2003

...with Cora (Miracle Shilohs) : 7 puppies born on February 10, 2004

...with Floosey (Pinetree Shilohs) : 8 puppies born on March 23, 2004

...with Sunnie (Miracle Shilohs) : 5 puppies born October 15, 2004

...with Lilly (a Shadow~Vaganza daughter) in California : 1 puppy born

Presently, our own Ellie Mae is pregnant with Apollo puppies that are due in early September!

Additional plans are in the works for Apollo to be bred with several more young ladies (including some of our own) in the years to come...
